Water Frog Productions - Process

From Tadpole to Frog Star

“Pre-Production is where your idea grows from a tiny tadpole into a fully developed Water Frog ready for its close-up.”

Pre-Production

Our process begins through learning. We want to learn about you and your company. We do this through telephone calls, research, and questionnaires. Once we’re confident we know more about your company than you do, we’ll recommend a video strategy that meets your business needs.

The next step is scriptwriting. We begin with a draft script. Think of the script like a road map for your video. Instead of street names, interstates, and exit ramps, your script will contain dialogue, locations, camera angles, plus information on animated graphics and music. We’ll start with a draft script.

Once you’ve approved the draft script, we’ll mark it as “Final.” This is a crucial element in the world of video production because this means our road map is ready for production!

“Lights. Camera. Action!. We’ve got the production environment and experience to make you feel like a Frog Star.”

Production

In preparation for production, we’ll create a “Shot Sheet” that clearly outlines the shots and locations needed for each scene.

We’ll coordinate exactly what needs to be shot and where, with attention given to each location’s shooting environment. Everything is taken into consideration, from electricity and room noise, to lighting and composition.

Once all the logistics are solved, we’ll move into field production. Cue the lights and start rolling cameras, it’s time to make a video!

“You’ve heard directors say, ‘We’ll just fix it in post.’ At Water Frog, we don’t fix it. We make it better.”

Post-Production

During post-production, the footage we gathered during our video shoot is brought into the computer for editing. Audio narration and video is edited to create a perfectly-paced narrative. Animated graphics, text overlays, and music are added to create your first draft video.

We’ll post the draft video online for your private review and then make changes based on your feedback to create the final cut. Once finalized, your video will be output to the web and any other media source (such as DVD) that you may need.
